A couple of floormates and I had an all-nighter Thursday night/Friday morning. Our bathroom conversation about majors and future aspirations in the professional world (John, Esther, me) was interrupted by sounds of the riot outside, which then became a hallway camp-out and continuation of the bathroom topics AND MORE. (We also added Yoko and Yosef to the group.) Apparently I'm the reincarnation of Descartes. >> Anyway, I started becoming terribly incoherent. ("It's like when you're stuck in a sunken ship... Wait what? Sunken ship?") Actually, I've been quite incoherent ever since I became sick around the middle of this week...
So about this sickness... It has made me quite lethargic. I slept about 10+ hours last night (a bit after midnight to 10:50 am), yet I also took a ~4 hour nap from 2 to 6. How ridiculous! I don't even know what I have at the moment.. Symptoms include stuffy nose (actually, it's only one side; it hasn't ever switched to the other side o.O), sore eyes, achiness, chills, wet-ish (not yet productive) cough, a pink nose and lots of tissues in the trash. Lame. At least my sore throat is pretty much gone.
What have I done today? I ate leftover bibimbap for lunch, but it was only a small portion so I was still ready to eat. Then the Nap came. Then Yoko, Esther, and I went to Walgreens and Sufficient Grounds. Yay for rosemary garlic chicken on foccacia with a side of potato salad. I only ate one half of the sandwich, but it was quite "sufficient." (Oh ho ho I'm so funny.)
Oh, but I forgot to discuss the crazy dream I had last night. It was actually quite realistic, in a bizarre way... The dream had multiple different parts - subplots, you could say. At one point I was tricking a vending machine in giving me extra packs of pokemon cards, only to discover that the cashier made me pay for them all, making my total grocery amount around $60 or maybe even more. There were other parts as well, but the part that stood out involved a worm crawling under my skin. A long, 1 foot+ worm. Ah yes, how marvelous. I saw it's tail end just above my wrist and its head above my elbow. It tickled and felt slightly nauseating as it traveled upwards. I wanted to get it out, but I wondered how. Should I grab a knife and cut my skin? But what if it has little babies and they all gush out into my body... As I was investigating the vermin, I saw the head part start to bulge, and as it grew, my skin in that area became more transparent. Finally, I saw its head emerge. The head was slightly more bulbous than the rest of the body, so I quickly took hold and gently pulled it out. It wasn't until I finished that I realized there were more. I tried grabbing this one in the same fashion, but it was slippery and not bulbous at all (looked more like the tail-end) and it began to retract back into my body. At one point I had to try to squeeze it out from the lower part of my arm back through the hole above my elbow. By the end of this ordeal, I had removed a total of 3 long worms from my arm. I looked at my arm and investigated the hole that the first worm had eaten to get some "air." It didn't look ridiculous to me, even though it was a dream. I touched it out of curiosity, and the pain that ensued was also quite realistic.
Why in the world did I dream of this?
Oh yea, I also retook the Myer-Briggs personality test through the MyType application on fb, and I am INFP. An idealist. Hm... I wonder how accurate it really is. It seems pretty good, though.
EDIT @ 11:55 pm
I forgot to write about this, but I have now determined that once I have my own place, I want to get some chalkboard paint, paint a wall, and be able to doodle in chalk as much as I want. :D Actually, I only want to do that because I think it'd be fun and I haven't ever been able to write w/ fancy chalk...
