Chinese New Year

I just came back from a special dinner at the senior Koinonia girls' apartment. To be honest, I didn't feel like doing anything tonight, and when Jane text-invited me to come over, I wasn't sure how to decline. I just felt so tired and I wanted to sleep the day away. However, I had nothing better to do, and two of my other friends also decided to go, so why not.

I'm so glad I went! It was actually much better of a celebration than I've had in recent years. We made our own dumplings while some of the other senior girls cooked. We had dumplings, pot stickers, Chinese pancake things, radish cake, a sticky dessert thing, and almond jello pudding w/ fruit. They had super Asian drinks like aloe as well as passion fruit w/ green tea. o_o Then we finished up the night by playing Imaginiff. Ahh.. so much fun. I'm pretty satisfied.

LOL. Satisfied? Wow, I sound so selfish/egotistical/self-serving. I guess I always try to avoid those situations w/ Koinonia people lately because I just feel like I don't fit in with them, but tonight wasn't bad. I had thought it would be awkward, but it just felt like a bunch of people just getting together and having fun.
